Justin Perret AKA "The Assassin"
Congratulations to Justin Perret (aka:"The Assassin") who was chosen as Member of the Month for September! Justin is the Assistant Manager at Jackson Skating Center, and has been a vital part of JSRG since its inception. Here's an in-depth look at the man up in that box
How long have you been working at Jackson Skating Center?
I started working at the rink in March of 2003. My boss, Karen, put me in charge of working derby when we adopted the league. I was at the first practice, which included the four founding skaters (AC Skater, Black Eye Betty, Sleaze Side Sally, and Malicious Megs).
What does your life look like when you're not at the rink?
When I'm not at the rink, I'm usually working my primary job at Conair Corporation, where I drive forklihs, hi/los and walkers for the service department. For fun, I enjoy playing hockey, relaxing with friends or working on my Jeep or motorcycle. I actually started tattooing when I was 22, got an apprenticeship at Jersey Tattoo and worked there for a few years. I loved tattoos and tattooing, but in the end it has become more of a hobby to me.
I love hockey and will watch any game that is on. I dislike that cranberries and pomegranates can't stay out of other juices.
Any most memorable moments with JSRG?
My most memorable JSRG moment was a few years back at Convention Hall when JSRG sold out its first bout. So many people came to check it out--the place was packed to the brim! My favorite game was that overtime game for the JSRG Championship, which I believe was Anchor Assassins vs. Murder Beach Militia.
